Denote 6-feet of spacing
- The fencing/cabana area surrounding the pool will have clearly visible markers denoting 6-foot intervals on all 4-sides of pool deck.
o Such markers will be unobstructed from view from any point inside the pool and all areas on the surrounding pool decking.
o Such markers will have matching colors and shapes on the opposing sides so patrons can visualize 6-square feet of spacing, both from a front-to-back and a side-to-side perspective.
- Markings will also be added showing 6-feet of sequential spacing between the entrance and the patron sign-in area so to limit and stagger the entry to the Pool and avoid congregation.
Capacity restrictions measures
- The facility will be limited to no more than 50 persons at any time.
o Such restrictions will ensure a minimum of 36 sq. ft. of pool surface space per person (Pool is 1,800 sq. ft.).
o Such restrictions will be clearly communicated by new signage to be posted before re-opening of the Pool (see 'Additional Signage')
o Such occupancy restrictions shall be of a non-discriminatory nature and on a first-come, first-served basis.
o The lifeguard will track the number of occupants in the facility and deny further entry should the number of occupants exceed 50 at any time.
- Tables and chairs around the pool deck will be spaced such that opposing chair-backs will be at least 6-feet apart when patrons are sitting around the tables.
o Signage will be posted that tables/chairs are only to be shared by members of the same household and must be cleaned with disinfectant after each use (see 'Additional 'Signage').
- No other freely movable chairs (e.g. lounge chairs) will be furnished by the Pool. Patrons will be asked to bring their own personal lounge-type chairs.
- Entry to the bathrooms is to be limited to one patron at a time or by more than one patron of the same household (e.g., parents with children who need assistance) and foot covering is required for entry to the bathrooms (see 'Additional Signage').
Staff training
- All hired staff and other volunteer workers (e.g., the Board Members) will be trained on COVID-19 awareness, cleaning, and sanitizing in a manner to promote the safety of the patrons and other staff and volunteers.
- Specifically, training will focus on the importance of social distancing, cleaning, and sanitizing frequently touched surfaces, and washing hands frequently, among others.
- Lifeguards will have required certification in accordance with all certification requirements.
- The Pool will both post and distribute to all staff and to volunteer workers the following COVID-19 awareness and risk reduction strategies check-list from the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/community/Aquatic-Venues-COVID19-Daily-Checklist-for-staff.pdf
Additional measures - Other

- The Pool will not make available PPE for distribution but will encourage patrons to wear face masks while not swimming in the pool (see 'Additional Signage').
- Lifeguards will be required to have their temperature taken and noted in their sign-in sheets each time they enter the facility. The pool will provide an infrared thermometer.
- Lifeguards will be required to certify that they do not have a fever of 100.4 degrees or above and do not have any COVID-19 symptoms before entering the facility.

- A sign-in sheet shall be maintained for all patrons, lifeguards, and volunteer staff in order to facilitate the potential contact tracing efforts.
- Anyone showing signs of COVID-19 will be asked to immediately leave the facility.
o If they are feeling too unwell to leave on their own they will be asked to sit or lie down on a designated lounge chair located a safe distance from other patrons until a family member can be contacted or other transport can be arranged (e.g., 911).
- The Pool will not provide for any shared play equipment (for the water or otherwise) and any such equipment shall be provided by the patrons and used only by members of the same household of such patrons.
Additional measures - Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfecting

- The restrooms will have wall-mounted soap dispensers and paper towels, which will be kept full at all times.
- Lifeguards will be instructed to frequently sanitize the pool handrails, lifeguard chair, lifesaving equipment, and any other pool equipment which they touch.

o Near the Pool phone encouraging patrons to call the Sparta Police in the event of non-compliance of any of the provisions of the CPOPP. Such instructions will include the phone number of the Sparta Police Dept.
o At the entry to the facility to instruct patrons to use the installed fence markers to help ensure 6-feet of social distancing from members outside their household while inside the pool and on the pool deck.
o At the entry to the facility and in the bathrooms indicating that hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol should be used if soap and water are not available and denoting that a hand sanitizer station is affixed to the wall of the common area.
