Pool Rules and Regulations
GENERAL
Hours of operation are typically 8 am until 9 pm during the summer seasonal period.
Lifeguard hours are generally 12pm to 6 pm on weekends and 2pm-6pm on weekdays when schools are out for the Summer, unless posted otherwise.
As a “specially-exempt facility” under the NJ Bathing statute, the Pool is under no legal obligation to furnish lifeguards and it will only endeavor to do so pursuant to the above guidelines on a ‘best-efforts’ basis and solely for the added comfort and safety of the Members and their invited guests.
Each Member family will be allotted one key and identification lanyard for entry into the facility. The lanyard should be kept visible when at the pool as evidence of Membership. A fee will be charged for replacement of lost keys and/or lanyards. Keys are not permitted to be copied and the key and lanyard must be returned upon cessation of Membership. DO NOT share the door code to anyone but your family members.
If you are the last person leaving the pool you are asked to please make sure (1) the garbage cans are placed in the woman’s room, (2) the woman’s and men’s room doors are closed and locked, (3) any inside lights are turned off, (4) all of the table umbrellas are down, and (5) the front door is closed and locked.
There is no smoking or vaping permitted inside the facility or on pool property.
No pets are permitted inside the facility (except service animals).
No bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc. are permitted inside the facility. Bicycles should be parked in the bicycle rack located outside the facility.
The pool telephone is for emergency use only.
Please use the trash receptacles and make sure lids are tightly affixed at all times. there must be a bag in the garbage can.
Please clean-up after yourselves and your guests. This is a Member-owned facility so please treat it like your own property.
Please do not turn cars around in driveways and only park on the pool-side of the street.
If a Member family has more than 5 invited guests (adults and/or children) it is considered a “Party” and the Party Guidelines must be followed.
For safety reasons, any Parties with more than 5 children (under the age of 18) must be held during lifeguard hours and there must be 2 guards when there are more than 10 children. Parties outside of lifeguard hours are permitted if there are no more than 5 children per Member family present.
Parties scheduled during lifeguard hours should first be reserved by filling out the party request web form on the pool website. Please see website for complete Party Guidelines.
There is a refrigerator available for your use. Please make sure you take all your refrigerated items with you when you leave. No alcohol is to be left in the refrigerator overnight.
WiFi service is provided. Please see the whiteboard near the Game Center for instructions.
Please report any violations or other problems/suggestions to a member of the Board (contact numbers are posted on the first aid kit near ping pong table).
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The first aid kit is located on the wall next to the emergency phone, extra supplies are kept in the office.
The automated external defibrillator (AED) is located on the inside wall of the woman’s room.
No person is permitted to swim alone.
No glass containers are permitted in the facility. Food and drinks are allowed in the grass area and under the canopy, or otherwise away from the pool canopy.
No artificial floating device which is not attached to the body is permitted in the pool except during an instruction course.
No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the facility or on pool property.
No running or horseplay is permitted on the pool apron.
Any persons showing evidence of any communicable skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharges, or any other communicable disease shall be denied admission.
Any person with excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts, or bandages, shall be denied admission.
All children in diapers must wear diapers specially designed for immersion in water (such as swimming diapers).
Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the water.
All children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the pool. Immediately report any “accidents” you observe in bathing waters to a lifeguard.
All persons should shower before entering pool.
Outdoor bathing is prohibited during an electrical storm.
Do not enter the water if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have had any signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal (stomach) disease in the past 7 days.
Any conduct which endangers the safety and comfort of others shall be prohibited.
ENTRY RESTRICTIONS
The pool is a non-public facility and may only be accessed by Members and their invited day-guests. Each person that enters the pool premises must first sign in using the sign-in sheet.
Members are discouraged from inviting day-guests that are otherwise eligible to become bonded members of the pool (except for community parties or open-houses, etc.).
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older). When no lifeguard is present, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Access to the office and gated pool pumps are restricted to authorized personnel only.
The pool lanyard should be kept visible when at the pool as evidence of Membership.
DO not share the door code with anyone who is not a member.
